Terms of sale

Draft — last updated 24 October 2026. Operator details below are to be confirmed before orders open.

1. Who we are

This website is run under the trading name Kettle & Cart. Operator (legal name and, if a company, registered number): [to be confirmed]. UK geographic address: [to be confirmed]. Email: hello@kettleandcart.co.uk. VAT number: [to be confirmed] (if registered).

2. Your order and payment

When you place an order you pay at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we email you to confirm your order. If we can't supply an item (for example it has sold out at the warehouse), we'll tell you and refund that item in full straight away.

3. Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. UK delivery costs £2.99 per order, and is free on orders over £30; the delivery charge is shown before you pay. If a price on our website is clearly a mistake, we'll contact you before processing the order.

4. Delivery

5. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you can cancel your order from the moment you place it until 14 days after the day you receive the goods (or the last item, if delivered separately), without giving a reason.

To cancel, send a clear statement to hello@kettleandcart.co.uk, for example: “I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods: [items], ordered on [date] / received on [date], name, address, date.”

You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling us. We refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of getting the goods back or proof of return, using the payment method you used. Cost of returning goods after a change of mind: [to be confirmed]. We may deduct from the refund for any reduction in value caused by handling the goods more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

The right to cancel doesn't apply to sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery.

6. Faulty goods and your legal rights

We must supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described (Consumer Rights Act 2015). If goods are faulty you can reject them within 30 days for a full refund; after that, you're entitled to a repair or replacement, or a refund if that fails. We pay return costs for faulty goods. See returns.

7. Product information

Images are for illustration; colours may vary slightly by screen. If you need a measurement or specification confirmed before buying, email us quoting the item code.

8. Our liability

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Problems and disputes

Please email us first and we'll try to put things right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales [to be confirmed]; if you live in Scotland or Wales you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
